Beaded flowers are currently my ADHD craft obsession. And when I mean obsession, I mean I have searched high and low for supplies and inspiration. Once they came across my TikTok feed, I knew they were the perfect craft for the girl's craft night I was planning on hosting.
These charming little beaded flowers were an instant success and all my guests, (ages ranging from 11-73) loved making them. They are simple, yet beautiful. Even though they don't require a lot of supplies or skill, they do take some time to make, which makes them the perfect craft for sitting around together to yap and munch on snacks.
Let me share with you what supplies you need to make your own beaded flower bouquets at home or for your next craft party. I have two sized beaded vase projects. They both use all the same supplies, but the shorter jar requires shorter jewelry pins and a shorter jar (obviously) 😝!
The larger variety of flower beads you have, the more unique each flower bouquet will be. I recommend purchasing beads of different colors, sizes, types, and textures to get a wide range of flower bead combinations.

Jewelry Pins:

What are they for: The jewelry pins are used for the stems of your flowers. You can use wire, but these pins are much easier to use and require zero prep or cutting. You can choose which type to get (the loop or flat head). It's truly based on preference. I use both to mix it up!
What sizes: For the shorter jar, I purchased 50mm sized pins. For the taller jars (skinny & rounder), I purchased 70mm sized pins. 70mm is the largest sized pins I could find for this project.

Green Beads and Leaf Beads:

What are they for: The green beads are used to fill the stem, and the leaf beads are used to add details, dimension, and variety to your flower stems.
Tips: I found that buying multiple types of green beads gave crafters the opportunity to mix and match. They could create patterns or use all the beads randomly! I purchased a selection of seed beads ranging from 3mm-4mm and tube beads.
Where to find them:
You can purchase green beads at local craft stores. I did find one or two leaf options at Hobby Lobby.

Flower Beads:

What are they for: These flower beads are used for... the flower! 😆
Tips: As I said before, the larger variety of beads you have the more unique your bouquets can be! I purchased beads of different sizes, colors, types, and finishes.

Jars:
Where to find them: I found the skinnier tall and the shorter vases at Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Tree.
Amazon: Large Jar
Temu: Tall Skinny Jar; Shorter Jar

Tools:
I prefer using Kelly Clamps to bend my flower stems. It probably has something to do with them always being around the house growing up. You can of course use jewelry pliers also to bend the flower stems.
Pre-Made Flower Bouquet Kits:

If purchasing all of these supplies is overwhelming, you can alternatively purchase pre-assembled beaded flower kits. These kits include everything you need to make your own beaded flower bouquet including the stems, jars, and of course beautiful flower beads.
